Attraction travel guides

Castles, gardens, parks and place visits

Choose the place, then plan collection, the visitor approach, passenger handover, luggage, time at the destination and the journey home.

01 — The place, not the tour

Build the day around one confirmed visit

Each guide covers collection, the visitor approach, general set-down, pushchairs and luggage, and the journey home. A separate touring-day plan describes a complete multi-stop itinerary. Where a tour genuinely includes the attraction, the guides link to each other; otherwise, a nearby tour is labelled as a separate option. Admission remains the passenger's arrangement with the destination.

We work backwards from the times on your ticket to the home, Berkshire address, Heathrow terminal or London hotel collection. A retained car can support a defined waiting and onward itinerary. Drop and collect treats arrival and return as separate movements, with one lead passenger confirming the agreed collection reference. The driver uses the lawful passenger point encountered on arrival rather than promising access to a private courtyard or entrance. Tickets and visitor services remain with the destination, while the chauffeur brief covers only the road journey and passenger movements agreed for the day.

03 — Passengers and belongings

Plan for the fullest movement of the day

A family outing can include occupied child seats, a folded pushchair, mobility equipment, food and day bags before anything is bought there. FCET assesses all of that against occupied seats before confirming Business, Business Estate, XL, First or SUV class. The chauffeur assists with the declared items at the vehicle, but the plan never assumes that a castle, garden, park or studio will hold personal luggage. For a retained car, waiting and onward movements are agreed in advance.

FCET uses the destination guide to compare road journeys from each starting area and records the complete collection and return addresses in the chauffeur brief. Published times are planning guides because traffic, loading, visitor controls and the walk back to the agreed passenger point can change the day. For a one-place visit, the booking team confirms one collection reference for the travelling party. When the return ends at a different hotel or Heathrow terminal, FCET plans that onward movement against the full passenger and luggage load before confirmation.
