Terminal meeting guide

Gatwick North Terminal: where your chauffeur meets you

Meet in North Terminal public arrivals, then walk together to the parked car in North Short Stay.

01 — The terminal handover

Where the chauffeur meets you at North Terminal

Your chauffeur waits in the public arrivals hall on the arrivals level, beyond customs at the signed meeting area. The booking message repeats that location before travel, so the passenger has a named public point to follow after baggage reclaim and any border formalities. The relevant exit is the customs exit leading into the North Terminal public arrivals hall. The chauffeur holds a name board and keeps the passenger contact available if the hall is busy or the party emerges by a different door.

For a departure, the car uses the signed charged North Terminal departures drop-off zone. The final approach is via the separate North Terminal road system, following current North departures or Short Stay signs rather than South Terminal. Set-down lanes are for unloading, so the chauffeur helps with the booked luggage and completes the handover without treating the lane as waiting space. From the car, the passenger follows a covered terminal-side route from set-down into the check-in concourse. Airport signs and staff directions always govern the exact lane in use on the day.

03 — Passenger and luggage

Park first, then meet in public arrivals

For an in-hall name-board meeting, the chauffeur parks in North Terminal Short Stay, walks into public arrivals and escorts the party back to the parked car. Gatwick lists the vehicle-only express pickup in Car Park 6, Level 4; it is a different arrangement and the driver must stay with the car. Current signs and staff directions govern the vehicle route.

04 — The return collection

Landing time starts the arrivals plan

FCET tracks the booked flight and adjusts the chauffeur's timing when it lands early or late. Landing is not the same as reaching the public hall: baggage, border formalities and the walk from the aircraft still sit between the runway and the meeting point. The chauffeur therefore works to the live flight and the agreed arrivals instruction, then makes contact at the name-board point.

The booking includes 15 minutes of complimentary airport waiting. If the passenger needs longer, the office and chauffeur keep communication open using the contact supplied with the booking. Once passenger and chauffeur are together, they move to the North Terminal Short Stay car park agreed before travel; the chauffeur parks before walking into public arrivals. The car is brought into the permitted collection process at the appropriate time, with luggage assistance at the accessible landside point.

05 — Meeting your chauffeur

Five steps through North Terminal arrivals

  1. The chauffeur checks the flight.
  2. Complete baggage and enter the public arrivals area.
  3. Look for the name board at Arrivals hall, after customs.
  4. Confirm your name and destination.
  5. Walk together to North Short Stay car park.

07 — From Berkshire and London

Planning the road journey to North Terminal

The planning guide from Reading is 56.6 miles and 69 minutes; from Wokingham it is 50.3 miles and 63 minutes. From central London, allow around 40.2 miles and 77 minutes as a broad route guide. The precise collection address, traffic and terminal approach can change the time required, so the booked pickup is set against the requested terminal arrival.

Give us the flight, facility, pickup address, passenger mobile and substantial luggage. The journey cost is confirmed at booking for that itinerary. FCET is available 24/7, uses DBS-checked chauffeurs and has provided chauffeur-driven travel since 2004. A return sector carries its own flight and meeting instruction, so the outward set-down note is not used as the arrivals collection plan.
