The service standard
One UK Metals Expo itinerary keeps each confirmed address, lead passenger and onward movement together.
01 — Current metals edition
Use the November 2026 Hall 4 programme
UK Metals Expo runs in Hall 4 at NEC Birmingham on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 November 2026. The organiser brings together the metals chain from primary production and stockholding through processing, fabrication, finishing, recycling and reuse. FCET records the passenger's chosen day and first fixed commitment. A mill or stockholder meeting, machinery review, policy session, buyer appointment, speaking call or exhibitor duty becomes the required arrival target.
Producers, distributors, processors, fabricators, construction buyers and recycling specialists may share an industry but follow different conversations. Each car instruction names its travellers, origin, opening meeting and authorised contact. Shared travel suits aligned diaries. Separate movements protect an early supplier appointment, a technical session or a later factory, depot or client visit, each of which needs its own full address and time.

03 — Intent boundary
Separate metals sourcing from general engineering
UK Metals Expo is defined by materials, processing, fabrication, finishing, recycling, trade and metals policy. Advanced Engineering is a co-located but broader engineering and manufacturing event, while Lab Innovations serves laboratory practice in Hall 2. UK Construction Week Birmingham is another separate show for the construction supply chain. The booking retains UK Metals Expo and Hall 4 so a shared project sector does not substitute a neighbouring event or a different NEC date.
Work bags, drawings, brochures, small clean material swatches and hotel luggage are counted together. Capacity follows the fullest confirmed movement if a buyer or supplier expects to leave with additional packaged samples. Sharp, oily, hot, contaminated or unusually heavy pieces, machinery, tools, long sections, crates and freight need separate assessment. A passenger booking is not an assumed metals collection or commercial delivery service.

Use the published address without claiming access
The organiser publishes Hall 4 at NEC Birmingham, North Avenue, Marston Green, Birmingham B40 1NT. The hall identifies the event but does not grant vehicle access, a set-down entitlement, a waiting location or collection permission. FCET agrees a practical lawful public-road reference for the confirmed time. The return plan retains its window, lead passenger and onward destination, with the usable reference checked before the final supplier or conference commitment finishes.
Before travel, FCET checks the 4–5 November 2026 edition, selected day, passengers, collections, first meetings, declared material items and next destinations. Only the authorised contact changes the agreed record. UK Metals Expo and the NEC control registration, content and venue operations. FCET manages the passenger movements it confirms; industrial transport, freight and site access remain outside that passenger itinerary unless separately agreed.
