01 — Current edition
Use the September 2027 lunch! dates
lunch! runs at Excel London on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 September 2027. The official site describes it as a trade show for the food-to-go industry and names cafés, sandwich bars, food-to-go chains, coffee shops, contract caterers, wholesalers and delis among its audience. FCET records the chosen day and first buyer meeting, supplier appointment, speaker call or exhibitor reporting time. Registration and programme access remain with the organiser; the passenger journey follows the confirmed commercial commitment.
A café operator reviewing equipment, a buyer meeting food-to-go suppliers and a coffee-shop team comparing products may have different diaries. Each vehicle keeps its passengers, collection addresses, opening commitment and authorised contact together. Shared travel works when the first appointments align. Separate movements can protect an exhibitor's earlier call or a buyer's fixed list while another group follows a seminar or supplier programme, without merging every visitor into one schedule.

03 — Intent boundary
Keep lunch! distinct from neighbouring food shows
The co-located National Restaurant, Pub & Bar Show serves restaurant, pub and bar decisions. IFE is a broad April food-and-drink sourcing event, and The Restaurant Show now sits within Food & Drink Expo at NEC Birmingham. lunch! has its own food-to-go, retail and coffee-shop identity. The booking retains that title and the first relevant appointment even when one visit also includes another show within the London Food & Drink Festival.
Work bags, menus, compact sealed samples, small packaged products and hotel luggage are declared before vehicle assignment. The return load can be larger than the outward one, so capacity follows the fullest intended sector. Perishable or temperature-controlled food, alcohol consignments, large appliances, display equipment and freight require separate assessment. A passenger booking does not automatically include product storage or commercial delivery work.

05 — Service on the day
Food-to-go diaries remain separately named
Each movement keeps its café, coffee-shop, food-to-go, buyer or supplier group with the first lunch! appointment and complete onward address.
06 — Excel destination
Use the address without promising event access
Excel London is the named destination; the venue publishes its contact address as One Western Gateway, London E16 1XL. The address does not establish a particular entrance, set-down right, waiting place or collection priority. FCET confirms a practical lawful public-road reference for the booked time. The return plan keeps an intended window, lead passenger and complete destination while current organiser and venue directions govern the final approach.
Before travel, FCET checks the 22–23 September 2027 edition, selected day, passenger names, collections, first appointments, declared samples and onward destinations. Confirmed changes come from the authorised contact rather than an assumed festival-wide timetable. lunch!, the London Food & Drink Festival and Excel govern trade admission, programme content and venue operation. FCET remains responsible for the passenger movements and vehicles it confirms.
