01 — Current edition
Plan for the June 2027 PlantWorx edition
PlantWorx 2027 runs at NEC Birmingham from Tuesday 22 to Thursday 24 June, in halls 17–20 and an outside area. The organiser describes an indoor and outdoor working construction-equipment trade show with live machine and tool demonstrations, equipment, technology, services and industry content. FCET records the chosen day and first fixed commitment. A demonstration, supplier meeting, speaking call, product review or exhibitor duty provides the requested arrival target; registration and access to show areas remain with the organiser.
Contractors, owner-operators, plant-hire businesses, fleet managers, engineers, procurement teams, manufacturers and speakers can start at different times. Each car record identifies its passengers, collections, first engagement and authorised contact. The FAQ separates general demonstration viewing from operator participation. For hands-on activity it describes dedicated live demonstration areas and the Skills & Operator Challenge Zone, asks for a valid operator ID or ticket and says registration will open later. Use confirmed participation details when setting the vehicle time.

03 — Intent boundary
Retain PlantWorx within the four-show gathering
PlantWorx represents working machinery, equipment and technology. It is co-located in 2027 with InstallerSHOW, the Painting & Decorating Show and Professional Woodworking Expo, which serve installation, finishing and woodworking audiences. UK Construction Week Birmingham is a separate wider construction-supply event. The booking therefore records PlantWorx by name and carries the relevant demonstration or meeting. A later depot, manufacturer site or contractor office becomes another timed sector with a complete address.
Laptop bags, drawings, compact product samples, protective clothing and hotel luggage are counted with the travelling party. Vehicle choice follows the fullest confirmed passenger sector. Machinery, attachments, fuel, oils, large tools, stands and freight need specialist handling. The live-equipment setting does not turn a chauffeur booking into plant transport or grant permission to carry exhibition machinery.

05 — Service on the day
Plant and equipment diaries stay distinct
The journey record retains each contractor, operator, plant-hire or manufacturer group with its first PlantWorx commitment and complete onward address.
06 — NEC destination
Treat the NEC as a destination, not a permit
The organiser publishes NEC Birmingham, Pendigo Way, Marston Green, Birmingham B40 1NT as the 2027 destination. That address identifies the site but does not establish a vehicle entrance, demonstration-area access, stopping entitlement or waiting position. FCET agrees a practical lawful public-road reference for the booked time. The return retains an intended window, lead passenger and onward address, with the usable reference confirmed before the party leaves the show.
The current visitor route is an interest-registration form: the organiser says confirmation with badge and joining details follows when registration opens. Treat interest registration as a prompt to revisit the itinerary, not as a badge, admission confirmation or reason to fix an early arrival now. The PlantWorx Innovation Awards are listed for day two of the show. Confirm awards attendance with the organiser before using the awards in a travel instruction; otherwise anchor the car to a confirmed demonstration, meeting or exhibitor duty.
